From Drew via the teachers' journal:
Today's focus was on making hats. I had brought in some green felt that was gifted to me from one of my elders, and the boys made some 3-piece triangular hats reminiscent of the classic "Robin Hood" cap. Boys worked diligently with little complaint and were overall happy with what they made. Spent the rest of the day on an awesome hike. Taught the boys "deer ears" and we listened for rushing water. Came across a tribe of turkeys who burst into flight as we made way. K & S are becoming good trackers, and I might do some exercises with them tomorrow. Overall good day and look forward to tomorrow.
The following day, with Connor and Ender, they made matching mittens. Those boys also love to sew!
